Altamira
Altamira is one of the 10 World Heritage sites in Cantabria.
THE DOVE OF ALTAMIRA
The Replica Cave was opened in 2000 to enjoy the Sixtine chapel of the Paleolithic Art, as this cave was named after being discovered in 1879.
POLYCROM CEILING
This group of bisons of different genders, features and attitudes, represents an authentic herd from the Paleolithic artist's point of view.

We can't understand its deepest significance but, without doubt, we can enjoy it and feel it.
Santillana del Mar
Located 4 kms. from Altamira.
It is a cobbled street village with a medival atmosphere, where time seems not to have passed by.
In it, we will do a walking tour enjoying the old stories that happened in those noble "casonas" and towers finishing in the Colegiate Church of Saint Juliana.
COLEGIATE CHURCH OF SAINT JULIANA
The most important monument in Santillana del Mar is this church that was built at the end of the XI century.
ROMANESQUE CLOISTER
This Romanesque cloister is one of the most beautiful places in this picturesque village.
DON BORJA TOWER
This is the oldest civil building in the village. Together with the Merino Tower, in the Main Square, the visitors can feel the great importance of Santillana del Mar during the Middle Ages.
San Vicente de la Barquera
As early as 12:30
- After visiting the two first places, we will move to San Vicente de la Barquera where we will visit its Gothic church and also will have free time for lunch.
- Those who are interested will be able to enjoy the typical gastronomy, based on high quality fish and seafood.
- Lunch is not included.

Comillas will also astonish you due to the collection of Modernist buildings that it possesses.
Antonio López, first Marquis of Comillas, was the great patron of the village.
Its most important monument is the Capricho of Gaudi, which we will visit.

Antonio Gaudí left in El Capricho one of his first Works but it is still undeniably pure Gaudí.

The Sobrellano Palace is a magnificent example of Spanish architecture at the end of XIX century and also shows the power of the "indianos", their economic importance and influence.
PONTIFICAL UNIVERSITY
In this building art and wisdom appear united. Even nowadays, this University has an important place in the teaching of Spanish Language and Literature for many foreign students.
